Introduction
Injection molded ferrite magnets, also known as plastic ferrite magnets, are made from the mixture of ferrite magnetic powder and thermoplastic or thermosetting plastics, such as PA 6, PA 12, or PPS, via a process of injection molding. The thermostability of this type of magnets is affected by its plastic binder. With the PPS, the maximum operating temperature is at 200°C.
Relying on its advantages from plastic binders, plastic ferrite magnets are easy to machine and have flexible magnetization directions. In an advanced manufacturing process, the magnetic materials can be directly combined with the shaft of other components to simplify the original assembly processes. In sum, this type of magnets is able to vary with diverse applications, such as automotive equipment, axial flow fan or instrument motor
